The World Heritage sites in New Zealand

Tongariro National Park

I surveyed the location and the sightseeing spots of Tongariro National Park. It’s located in the heart of the North Island which is one of the two main islands of New Zealand. It has an area of about 80 thousands hectares. How large it is!
The park has a lot of attractive places. Every summer, about 70 thousands tourists visit there to go on a hike. “Tongariro Alpine Crossing” is the most popular track. It is a wonderful course you can cross while seeing the beautiful scenery between the two volcanoes.
In winter, you can enjoy skiing. Snow season is from the end of July to early November and the ski season starts in July, about this time of the year. It is because the seasons are quite opposite between Japan and New Zealand. So, New Zealand is winter now. You can also enjoy hunting, game fishing, mountain biking, horse riding and so on.
We have introduced the World Heritage sites in New Zealand. Do you want to go there after listening to our presentation? We hope you do.
